Observation Records

Hi, my name is Nib. Welcome to my research arrive. Here, I document the strange, fascinating, and occasionally alarming things I observe on Earth. These records are organized field notes — not conclusions. I am still collecting data.

Each section below contains official observations, sorted by topic to help me understand this planet one curious discovery at a time. Humans ages 10–16 are especially encouraged to explore, wonder, and assist with interpretations, though older humans seem to enjoy this too (perhaps secretly).

Please note: I do not panic when I don’t understand something. I write it down and keep going.

Still Figuring It Out

A collection of real scientific questions and discoveries where humans have good evidence, curious theories, and are still figuring out what’s going on.

Humans: Please Explain

My ongoing attempt to understand how humans move through the world — their habits, language, emotions, and everyday systems.

School: What’s the Point?!

A series dedicated to decoding Earth’s school systems — including homework rituals, social dynamics, mysterious rules, and why humans willingly wake up so early.

These records are not meant to tell you what to think.

They are meant to help you notice what’s already happening.

If something here makes you laugh, question, or feel slightly more aware of the world around you, then the archive is functioning correctly.

Lantern Field Log

My official research notebook. This is where I record experiments, observations, discoveries, and thinking-in-progress. If I am trying to understand how something works, it usually ends up here.

A gentle corner of the archive for younger explorers.

These entries explain the same real discoveries and questions — just with smaller words, shorter sentences, and extra care.

Little Lantern: Not All Explorers Are Tall

Little Lanterns are not simplified because the ideas are unimportant. They are simplified so curiosity can grow early, without fear or confusion.

If something here makes a young reader say “wait… really?” then the lantern is doing its job.
